Mrs. Inez Collins Foster (Emery) born on December 3, 1925, age 90 transitioned into the loving arms of her savior of the living GOD, (Jesus Christ) on this date Tuesday, December 15, 2015 in her daughter’s home in Lakeside, Texas comforted by family and friends.
Inez is preceded in death by her first husband (Mr. Carl C. Foster) who was the very love of her life in that marriage for more than 50 years and with that union produced four beautiful children.
As a testament to my mom, I can speak for my 3 brothers that Mama had such an infectious smile the flowers inside the house even bloomed from the radiances and effulgence of sunlight itself. Mama had a generous nature, incredible strength and will. She was a sublime homemaker, a loyal and dedicated wife, and most of all, a caring and tender mother and grandmother.
Additionally, it should bode well the folks that didn’t know Mama’s sartorial skills in sewing. It could be argued that Mama could make the cover of Ladies Home Journal Magazine in a cover story for skills in acclimate dressmaking. And without question, Mama took great pride in her garden with such succulent vegetables that easily could have been in God’s Garden of Eden. These meager words of mine will never truly represent the love, faith and kindness that Mama brought into this world and her family. I can unequivocally say that my brothers and I are the fabric of her life, and grace will live through us all with the values and ethos that Mama and Daddy taught us since birth.
Mama was lauded in integrity and transparency by her church that she was appointed as treasurer for her Sunday School class at First Baptist Church of Clarksville, Texas.
Mama will be sorely missed by her family, friends and so grievance, her loyal partner (“Chipper” her pet dog).
Inez, is survived by her sons, Martin Foster and wife, Isa, of Saudi Arabia, Kenneth Foster and wife, Mary, of Seattle, WA., Douglas Foster and wife, Regina, of Louisville, KY, and daughter, Ms. Angela Foster (Funderburk). Three sisters, Jane Hairston, of Violna, AR, Goldia Wilkins, of Green Briar, AR, and Violet Swagerty of North Little Rock, AR, and one brother, Joe Collins, of Jacksonville, AR.
Inez will have a graveside service on December 19, 2015 at Cooper Cemetery at 11:00 am. A visitation will be prior to the service at Atkinson Funeral Home from 9:00-10:30 am.
